Jammu & Kashmir Institute of Mathematical Sciences (JKIMS) organized one-day seminar to celebrate National Science Day 2020, catalyzed and supported by National Council for Science, Technology  & Communication, Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India, with focal theme ‘Women in Science’ on 11^TH March 2020 at its Amar Singh College (Srinagar) Campus. Prof. Assia Siddiqi, Director JKIMS, welcomed the dignitaries. Prof (Dr.) Sheikh Javid, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University, Srinagar inaugurated the seminar and newly built infrastructure as chief guest at the inaugural function. Dr. Yasmeen Ashai, Principal, Govt College for Women, M. A. Road, Srinagar, Dr. Tehmina Yousuf (S.P. College) and Dr. M.A. Shah, NIT Srinagar, delivered extension lectures during the seminar highlighting contribution and role of women in science. Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq A. Siddiqi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, IUST Awantipora, graced the valedictory function as Chief Guest and felicitated the speakers. Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Tariq Ahmad Shikari (JKIMS).
